Telus Corp. is a Canadian telecommunications company offering a variety of services and products, including satellite television, video, entertainment, voice, internet access, and more. The company is listed on NYSE under the symbol TU and on TSX under T.

In 1990, Telus Corp was established as a holding company by the government of Alberta. The company acquired Edmonton Telephones Corporation in 1995 and became the owner of all telephone services in Alberta. BCTel and Telus announced a proposed merger in 1998, which took place the following year. As a result of the merger of the two entities, Telus Corp became the 2nd largest telecommunications company in Canada.

Telus Corp offers Optik TV with over five hundred digital channels, specialty shows, live and on demand events, and more. Optik internet is another service that provides clients with advanced TV and Internet experience. Clients can download, stream, and surf from any place in their home thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi. Customers who use TELUS Internet can choose the speed they require and connect any of the family’s devices at home. The company also offers telephone services, featured with unlimited local calling and calling features such as voice mail, call waiting, call display, and call forwarding. Clients can opt for other calling features as well, including visual call waiting and caller reveal, which prompts unknown or private callers to enter their phone number or unblock it. Pay-per-use calling features include 3 way calling, allowing clients to include third parties in a call, and call return, which monitors a busy line and identifies the last phone number calling the client’s line.

Telus Corp also offers packages or bundles, combining internet, home phone, and long distance calls. Finally, clients can opt for voice and data plans, including call waiting, conference calling, voice mail, as well as unlimited nationwide family calling. Extras include free local calling on the client’s birthday and unlimited local calling for one month.
